Installation
Installation guide for the IBM Operator Collection SDK extension for VS Code.
Requirements:
Install Ansible® (version 2.9.10 or higher)
Ensure you’ve installed Ansible correctly by restarting your terminal and running:
ansible --versionInstall the IBM Operator Collection SDK Ansible Collection
- Alternatively, you can install this collection via the VS Code extension upon activation. Just be sure to install its requirements.
Depending on your environment configuration, you may also want to install SSL Certificates, before using this extension.
Installing the IBM Operator Collection SDK extension for VS Code:
Install the VS Code Extension from the Visual Studio® Marketplace.
Download the
.vsixfile from the “Assests” section of the latest release in the IBM Operator Collection SDK VS Code extension repository on GitHub.Install the
.vsixfile from the “Extensions” tab in your VS Code editor:
Additional Requirements: For local builds, you will first need to install node js in order to build and deploy the extension.
- First clone the IBM Operator Collection SDK VS Code extension repository on github:
git clone https://github.com/IBM/operator-collection-sdk-vscode-extension.git \ && cd operator-collection-sdk-vscode-extension - Install the extension dependencies:
npm install - Build the
.vsixfile:npm run build - Deploy the extension to your VS Code editor:
npm run deploy
