Access Db2 from watsonx.data
Section titled “Access Db2 from watsonx.data”Add data source
Section titled “Add data source”Select Infrastructure manager from the navigation menu, and click Add component to add a data source.
Select Db2 for IBM i as data source
Section titled “Select Db2 for IBM i as data source”In the Add component, select Db2 for IBM i from the Data source section, then click Next.
Create data source
Section titled “Create data source”Fill in the data source details, then click Create to add the data source.
IBM watsonx.data requires a catalog for each database. This catalog will be automatically associated with your database and serve as your query interface with the data stored within.
New data source in Infrastructure manager
Section titled “New data source in Infrastructure manager”Exploring data
Section titled “Exploring data”Browse the schemas and tables using the newly added catalog in the presto engine from Data Manager page.
Querying data
Section titled “Querying data”Run SQL queries against the data in the new catalog in Query workspace page.
