Event Endpoint Management continues to be available and enhanced as part of IBM's integration platforms.

Event Streams and Event Processing are deprecated and no enhancements will be provided. Support and security fixes will be provided in line with published support lifecycle policies. Future event-driven solutions that make use of Apache Kafka and Apache Flink will be delivered by IBM Confluent.

Additional controls not applied to options with mTLS only control

Symptoms

When an option is configured with a Mutual TLS (mTLS) only control, any additional controls, such as redaction, schema filtering, and quota enforcement, are not applied when the option is published to a gateway.

Causes

This is caused by a bug in Event Gateway versions 11.4.1 and 11.4.2. The bug has been fixed in versions 11.5.1 and later.

Resolving the problem

To resolve the problem, complete any one of the following steps:

  • Upgrade Event Endpoint Management and the Event Gateway to 11.5.1.
  • Configure mTLS with SASL identification.
