Installation

The ibm-watsonx-ai Python library is publicly available on PyPI: https://pypi.org/project/ibm-watsonx-ai/.

The package can be installed with pip:

$ pip install ibm-watsonx-ai

Note

The ibm-watsonx-ai Python library is available by default in all watsonx.ai notebook runtimes.

Product Offerings

The python package supports the following product offerings:

• IBM watsonx.ai for IBM Cloud

• IBM watsonx.ai software:

  • With IBM Cloud Pak® for Data 4.8.x

  • With IBM Cloud Pak® for Data 5.0.x

Note

If you are using Watson Machine Learning within IBM Cloud Pak® for Data 4.0 - 4.7 versions, we recommend using ibm-watson-machine-learning package - see documentation.
