Event Streams 2019.1.1 is supported on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3.9 and 3.10.

Support for IBM Cloud Private version 3.1.2

In addition to IBM Cloud Private 3.1.1, Event Streams 2019.1.1 is also supported on IBM Cloud Private 3.1.2.

New REST interface for sending event data to Event Streams

Event Streams provides a producer API to help connect your existing systems to your Event Streams Kafka cluster, and produce messages to Event Streams over a secure HTTP endpoint.

A new dashboard has been added to help monitor the health of your topics. The Producer dashboard provides information about producer activity for a selected topic.

Kafka version upgraded to 2.1.1

Event Streams 2019.1.1 uses the Kafka 2.1.1 release. If you are upgrading from a previous version of Event Streams, follow the post-upgrade tasks to upgrade your Kafka version.
