Event Endpoint Management continues to be available and enhanced as part of IBM's integration platforms.

Event Streams and Event Processing are deprecated and no enhancements will be provided. Support and security fixes will be provided in line with published support lifecycle policies. Future event-driven solutions that make use of Apache Kafka and Apache Flink will be delivered by IBM Confluent.

Kafka 4.0.0 and later introduces new APIs and removes support for previous client libraries.
Event Endpoint Management version 11.8.1 and later uses Kafka 4.3.0.
The Event Gateway reports if any clients are calling deprecated APIs and presents a warning message in the Event Endpoint Management UI.
Contact the client application owners and advise them to upgrade their Kafka client library to version 4.3.0 or later.
